IPICS 2002
In July 2002 5 students from the university of technology in Graz, including myself, participated in the Fifth European Intensive Programme on Information and Communication Technologies Security on the Greek island of Samos.
The contents covered during these two weeks were Management and organizational aspects; Security and Dependability Concepts, Measures and Mechanisms; End-user's point of view; Cryptology; Network security; investigative computing; Database security; IT security management; Legal aspects; Systemic - Holistic Approach to IT Security.

Besides the content, one of the main advantages of this course was the possibility to meet students from 8 different countries all over Europe (Austria, Belgium, Finnland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Russia).
Of course, the fact that outside the lecture hall Greek sun and sea waited, was not too bad either. ;-)
In this summerschool 13 universities participated:

- University of Technology Graz (AT)
- Ionion University (GR)
- Katholieke Univ. Leuven (BE)
